Join teams from around the world at this international field hockey festival. This is an event where you will meet old and new friends, while playing competitive games in a festive environment.
But there’s a limit to how many teams can attend, so be quick with your Entry Form, sending it and your Entry Fee as soon as possible.
Your ENTRY GUIDE:
Number of PLAYERS / TEAMS
You can enter more than one team. You can also enter as an individual and play in a team made up of players from other clubs and/or countries.
DIVISION ENTRY FEE*
Masters $ 700.00 US
* Entry fee is based on a team of 12 players. $50.00 for each additional player.
Eligibility to play in the Masters Division entail that all players must be forty (40) years or older.
DATE, PLACE & TIME:
The Big Apple Hockey Festival – Mayor’s Cup will be held on two artificial surface fields in New York City, August 29th – September 1st, 2008.
Games will be played according to the current International Rules (FIH), and commence on Friday August 31st.
UMPIRES
A number of national, international and FIH umpires will control the games during the Festival. Teams are encouraged to include top-level umpires with their entry.
Your FESTIVAL PACKAGE
Cost includes:
1. Welcome Reception and Dance
2. Festival Bar-B-Q & entertainment
Optional pre and post FESTIVAL TOURS
You and others in your delegation may want to take the opportunity to see more of New York City and other parts of the United States. We will provide information on request. Pre or post-Festival matches can also be arranged in advanced on request.
Entries will close on July 1, 2008
The Organizing Committee will acknowledge all entries by August 1, 2008.
A Cash prize will be awarded to the winner of the men and women division. Medals will also be awarded to as many as 18 members of the winners and runners-up in each division.
The winners and runners-up in the Master’s division will be awarded as many as 18 individual awards.

Was ist zu tun beim Hockeyfest
Alle mithelfen beim Aufbauen am Freitag 11.07.08 um 18 Uhr am Hockeyplatz im Club !
Sa ab 11 Uhr Hockeyfest Bierausschank und Grillen, Einteilung wird vor Ort gemacht, keine Angst es artet nicht in Arbeit aus ( ca 1 h für jeden am Grill oder Bierstand wenn genug von Euch kommen)
Abbau ab 19- 20Uhr, wäre toll wenn noch jemand da ist und mithilft,nicht das Ich alleine dastehe.
Bitte um feste Zusagen wer kommt und wer nicht und wer einen Kuchen bäckt.. Es ist nicht erforderlich die ganze Zeit dort zu sein, wer sonst noch was vorhat und kein Bier etc mag. Ich denke man sollte sich wenigsten einmal im Jahr, ausserhalb eines Wettkampfes als Mannschaft präsentieren und ausserdem können die Frauen und Kids mitgebracht werden. Die Getränke etc besorge ich, es wäre toll wenn einige von Euch noch einen Kuchen backen könnten,sonst müsst Ihr also nur vor Ort sein und anpacken und natürlich Feiern und ein wenig Hockey spielen.
