Big Apple Hockey Festival

Your Invitation to the Big Apple:

Join teams from around the world at this international field hockey festival. This is an event where you will meet old and new friends, while playing competitive games in a festive environment.

But there’s a limit to how many teams can attend, so be quick with your Entry Form, sending it and your Entry Fee as soon as possible.

Your ENTRY GUIDE:
Number of PLAYERS / TEAMS

You can enter more than one team. You can also enter as an individual and play in a team made up of players from other clubs and/or countries.

DIVISION ENTRY FEE*


Masters $ 700.00 US

* Entry fee is based on a team of 12 players. $50.00 for each additional player.

Eligibility to play in the Masters Division entail that all players must be forty (40) years or older.

DATE, PLACE & TIME:
The Big Apple Hockey Festival – Mayor’s Cup will be held on two artificial surface fields in New York City, August 29th – September 1st, 2008.

Games will be played according to the current International Rules (FIH), and commence on Friday August 31st.

UMPIRES
A number of national, international and FIH umpires will control the games during the Festival. Teams are encouraged to include top-level umpires with their entry.

Your FESTIVAL PACKAGE
Cost includes:
1. Welcome Reception and Dance
2. Festival Bar-B-Q & entertainment

Optional pre and post FESTIVAL TOURS
You and others in your delegation may want to take the opportunity to see more of New York City and other parts of the United States. We will provide information on request. Pre or post-Festival matches can also be arranged in advanced on request.

Entries will close on July 1, 2008
The Organizing Committee will acknowledge all entries by August 1, 2008.

A Cash prize will be awarded to the winner of the men and women division. Medals will also be awarded to as many as 18 members of the winners and runners-up in each division.

The winners and runners-up in the Master’s division will be awarded as many as 18 individual awards.

The Big Apple Hockey Festival – Mayor’s Cup is sanction by the United States Field Hockey Association (USFHA) the national governing body for the sport of Field Hockey in the USA.

The festival committee members are experience hockey players that provides essential sporting and management expertise to ensure a well-organized and successful festival.

Der HTHC ist dieses Jahr Ausrichter des Traditions-Turniers Max und Gertrude von Langenhorn. Dazu gesellt sich noch ein weiterer "NN" von Langenhorn.

Bei "Überbelegung" wird das Los entscheiden, wobei die Titelverteildiger und Gastgeber gesetzt sind.

Wer kommt verbindlich?

Wer weiß, was wegen Wintertrainingszeit geht?

Diese Nachricht kam gerade von der Hörnchen:
Hallo Parksünder, wir starten nächsten Mittwoch, den 17.10. mit unserem Wintertraining um 20:00 Uhr. Wir Hörnchen freuen uns schon, mit Euch hinter der Kugel über den Platz zu jagen. Gruß Annette

Fangen wir auch um 20:00 an oder wie oder was?

Mit den Hörnchen zu trainieren finde ich o.k.

Kann Mittwochs nicht zum Training kommen (malade..), wer holt auffm Weg die Kugeln bei mir in Klein Borstel ab?

Um die traditionell dünne Teilnehmerzahl beim Sommerferientraining mindestens auf 4 gegen 4 zu bringen, habe ich nach basisdemokratischer Absprache beim letzten Training die Hörnchen gefragt, ob man nicht wie im Winter zusammen trainieren möchte.

Antwort steht in den Kommentaren, also ab 18.07. mixed.

Guter Saisonstart für uns.
Nur, wer kein 2:0 macht, lässt die Punkte liegen.

Leider wurde überhart von den Rennsemmeln eingestiegen.
Erst dummdreist die Leute foulen und wegschubsen und dann noch Sprüche absondern wie "wenn der über seine eigenen Beine fällt"
Zuviel Sonne abbekommen oder was?

Schnell 2 Bier und hackebreit nach hause.

Wir steigen auf oder die ab, das wäre die sauberste Lösung.

Laut Kamerad C. war der Platz am Mittwoch bespielbar, und die, auf deren Trainingsende wir immer freundlichst zuwarten dürfen (denn wir sind ja nur die Parksünder), wußten das und trainierten.

Wir wußten das nicht und alles fiel aus.

Tolles Informationsmanagement, THC, Respekt!

Wo ich schon mal am meckern bin, ich war nicht so zufrieden mit der Trainingsregelung letzten Sommer von wegen halber Platz und teilen mit Berbern und so.

Finde ich bezeichnend, dass das jetzt wieder so laufen soll.

Aufgrund der meiner Meinung nach positiven Wintertrainingseinheiten mit den Hörnchen sollten wir überlegen, an Mittwochen, wo der Verein meint, uns den Trainingsplatz nicht zur Verfügung stellen zu müssen, auf den Montag zu setzen.

Oder wie, oder was, oder wer?
